Snow Walk

We took a nice walk today down to Starbucks and then to the beach. Ani trudged through the deep snow to get to the playground, although I didn't get any photos of that. I was pulling Ani on the sled, and at one point decided to run so she'd go fast. The rest of the walk she would often scream, "Run, Daddy, run!" So I did more running than initially planned, and we had a blast. Winter time is so much more enjoyable when we get out and enjoy it.

My Incredible Wife

Jennifer Ann Landis agreed to marry me on July 24, 2004. I'm so glad she did. She is such a loving, conscientious and compassionate mother to our children. She is passionate about life in general, and is willing to do whatever it takes to live out her convictions. At times when the status quo offers comfort, ease and simplicity, she is still willing to choose what's uncomfortable and unpopular.

Don't get me wrong, she's far from perfect. She maintains impossibly high standards in most aspects of her (and our) life. She will work herself to the bone without a thought for rest, and she insists on tickling me mercilessly and then threatening (and often inflicting) great pain on me if I reciprocate.

We have had some challenges in our marriage. And I'm sure those are not over yet. We've also had a ton of fun. From road trips to raft trips, hanging with the kids to our times without the kids, she's my favorite person to be with. And I would do it all over again. I am a much better person for the past 4 years of marriage to Jen, and I don't see that growth slowing anytime soon.

I am so thankful for my wife.

Father/Daughter Fun

Ani and I were running some errands last weekend. We didn't plan on getting lunch together, but we'd been going for a while and we were both pretty hungry. We swung by Taco Bell for a little (*ahem) nourishment. What ensued was a really nice time hanging out.
